Mision
Globally Ghetto's mission is to change the way people think about fashion and the impact it has on the world. It's not just about making clothes that look good, but making a difference in the world. Our ultimate goal is world domination, but not in the traditional sense. We want to spread the message that there's a better way to create fashion, one that doesn't harm the planet and the people living on it.
Sustainable dopewear
We believe in using fibers from different sources, like banana, coconut, and pineapple fibers collected in Africa, to create a wide range of sustainable products, from fabrics to plastics to hair extensions. By doing so, we hope to normalize the use of these materials in the fashion industry and encourage others to follow our lead.
Sustainable Method
But before we can achieve this goal, we need to focus on breaking the cycle of fast fashion that's so damaging to the environment and human rights. That's where Globally Ghetto fashion comes in. Our clothes are made with sustainable materials like kombucha, tencel, recycled polyester, deadstock, and plant fiber textiles. We also use eco-friendly packaging and 3D printing to minimize waste.
Committment
Through our attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship, we appeal to conscious consumers who value not just the look of their clothes, but also the story behind them. Our custom-made sustainable clothing and accessories are unique, and our customers appreciate the effort that goes into producing them. We want to inspire people to make a positive impact through their fashion choices and be part of the movement towards a more sustainable future.
The Owner
Akua Gyamfuwaa is the creative force behind Globally Ghetto, a fashion brand born from her unique upbringing. Growing up in Ghana and influenced by cultures from around the world, Akua's fashion is a reflection of her global perspective. She finds inspiration in the colorful palettes and nature-loving attitudes of African, South East Asian, and South American cultures.
Despite the negative stereotypes surrounding those who live in the ghetto, Akua sees their resilience, fortitude, and empathy as a source of inspiration for pop culture in music, fashion, and art for over a century. Her designs embody these values and are created for women who share her passion for streetwear. Through Globally Ghetto, Akua aims to challenge society's negative constructs and celebrate the creativity and strength of those living in the ghetto.
